I have been hunting for a replacement for my Acer N35, which is still with Acer Esplex (lousy product, lousy service, but that's another story). One GPS navigation product that caught my eye during my search is the recently released Fujitsu-Siemens Pocket LOOX N100. It has the SiRFStar III GPS, a touch screen (240 x 320 color TFT), Samsung 300MHz cpu and Microsoft Windows CE 5.0 core. A couple of reviewers has commented on its good look, light weight (110 g) and quite functional software Navigon MobileNavigator 6. On top of its GPS function, it is also a multi-format audio player supporting MP3, WMA & AAC. Here is a collection of links to selected creame of reviews on this device.
- RegHardware - General review (giving it a score of 85%) with a links to 10% off at Nice PC at the end of the article (£224.99 29/09/06).
- 3 parts reviews from Shaun McGill posted on the forum detailings his experience after a week use- links here part 1, part 2 and part 3, or from Clove Technology site.
- GpsPasSion - review and extensive forum posting from users on pros and cons on daily use, including information on updating firmware.
Enjoy!
